Dear Parents,
Wow! We are praising the Lord for all the work that He is very obviously doing in the hearts of our students! With our last full day of camp, we are exhausted but our hearts are full as we had so many students respond to the gospel tonight.
Shawn Farrell closed out our week with a sermon on love. The first half examined the basis for our love which is the love of God. We focused on the cross to see the great demonstration of God's love for us on Calvary. The second half of our message examined our response which is that we are to love others. The gospel was preached so clearly all week at camp and Shawn pushed it even harder tonight for our last session together.
After the sermon, I made one last gospel call to our students and invited them to talk with a staff leader if they had any questions, wanted to confess any sin, or if they wanted to finally give their lives to Christ and wanted some guidance on how to do so. It was incredible to witness at least half of the room stand up to go talk with their leaders. Now, we pray for genuine fruit in the lives of our students and praise the Lord for all that He is doing in their hearts. I can’t wait to share more with you at Camp Rewind (6/21 from 6-8 pm at Thompson Middle School).
All students are safe, healthy, and even as I send this they are still hanging out with each other and having a blast playing games in cabins.
Our plan is to leave here by 10 AM tomorrow morning (6/16) so that we can arrive by 12 PM (noon) at the FBC Warehouse (27383 Via Industria, Temecula, CA 92590). Be on the lookout for updates on our ETA that I will send tomorrow while on the bus!
Please be praying for safe travels! See you tomorrow!
In Him,
