Hello, parents! Day two of camp was a fun full day of discipleship, devotion, praise, games, and fun! We started our day the same way that we start every day at camp- with devotions! We learned about who God is, who we are before Him, and God’s reqiurement for holiness. In turn, we admitted that we are not holy, that we have fallen short, and that there is nothing that we can do to save ourselves from our unholiness. From there, we went to session and were prompted with the question of “Is Christ the Way I Live?” from Philippians 1 and Ephesians 4. It was a discussion of our desires, what drives us, what we love, and what we live for. After, we played a game called “Max’s Mayhem” which can be described as a mixture between ultimate frisbee and basketball. After the field game, the students had hours of free time to hang out, play gaga ball, and have one on one discussions with their staff members. Our night session was centered around the idea of “Is Christ My Example?” from Ephesians 2. We looked at the humility and love of Christ, and then asked ourselves if we were living accordingly. The sermon drilled away at the pride and entitlement that has built up in our hearts, and called us to humility and love. To end the night, we played glow in the dark dodgeball! We set up blacklights, decorated the room with streamers and other colorful items, had the students wear bright clothing, and we let the games begin! The students played until they could play no longer, and then they readied themselves for bed and called it a night! Day 2 was an awesome full day, and now only one full day remains!
