A Word From Shayne
Hello Jr. High Parents and Happy Tuesday!
Thank you all for working with us last week as we had a temporary change in location. This week we will be back at our original meeting location, The Tracy Home (23799 Humphrey Court, Murrieta CA 92562). We will continue to meet here unless we feel like we need to change and we will make sure to send you all an email about the change.
This week we are back at it, continuing our new series in 1 Peter titled "Survival Through Hope." As we dig into 1 Peter, we will be talking about how believers are able to survive a crazy, sinful world. With so much going on around us, how can we make it through this life in one piece? 1 Peter tells us that we have an incredible hope in Christ that is eternally secure. It is this hope that empowers Christians to not only survive this world but to live our lives honoring Him through everything. This week we will be looking at how the promise of salvation through Jesus Christ should encourage and inspire us to "Be holy" as God is holy. We are all excited to see your students again this Wednesday night!
Just as a heads up, we wanted to give you the dates of some important events that are coming up.
Next week, Wednesday, February 17th, we will be having a "D-group hangout" night. Instead of all the students meeting together, students will be meeting at separate locations with their D-groups. The time of the meetings will be the same as our regular Wednesday nights, but the locations will be different. We will be sending out an additional email at the end of this week with the locations and addresses of each group.
Saturday, February 27th, at 2pm we will be having another Jr. High Hangout at the park. Stay tuned for the location as we will be sending updates in these emails.
Friday, March 26th, we will be having our Mystery Night Event. As more details for this event get decided, we will make sure to keep you all informed.
Lastly, this is a couple months away but so you all can get it on your calendars, we are planning our Jr. High Summer Camp 2021 to be Thursday, June 17th to Sunday, June 20th. We are in the early stages of planning for this but, like our other events, as we make decisions, we will make sure to keep you all up to date so you don't miss anything important.

Last Week
Last Wednesday at youth we had an awesome time playing glow-in-the-dark bowling and enjoying a great time talking to one another. After worship, we heard from Alex Crain on the start of our 1 Peter series and had a fruitful time in small groups after talking about our hope in Christ during trials. We ended the night with delicious cookies and hot chocolate.
Wednesday Night Details
- Time: 6:15-8:15pm
- Location: Tracy house 23799 Humphrey Court Murrieta, CA 92562
- Please have your student bring a Bible, notebook, pen, and a blanket to sit on.
- It now is getting colder at night so please make sure your students are dressed warmly.
Sunday Morning Details
- We meet every Sunday morning during the first service from 9-10:15am
- Here is the address we meet at on Sunday: Murrieta Valley High School
- In order to get to where we meet on Sundays, walk down with your parents to the stadium and then make a right at the stairs where the youth ministry sign is. Go up the stairs, through the hall, and we will be right there after the hallway.
