Dear Parents,
Today was such a blast! In the morning, we woke up early for morning devotionals, ate breakfast (eggs, sausage, and potatoes), and had our morning session where we played an epic (and gooey) game and dove into Luke 18 together with Shawn to see who the Rich Young Ruler is and who God is. God is Holy and set apart from us. The rich young ruler, though he had all that life could offer, still felt the burning need to answer the most important question: what must I do to inherit eternal life?
Lunch was great – choice of hot dogs or spaghetti. After lunch, students got into their swimsuits for a massive pool version of “Hungry Hungry Hippo” where teams got into mini boats and collected as many plastic balls from the pool as fast as possible! It was great to have some free time today which included “gaga ball,” volleyball, pool time, rock climbing, zip lining, and access to the SNACK SHACK (Oreo shakes, snicker bars, cup of noodles, and more)!
We pushed our night session a little later so that we could start just as the sun was going down - it was beautiful! We played another fun survivor game, sang praises to our Lord, and continued in Luke 18 with Shawn. Tonight we focused on our sin, how we have massively failed the test of perfect obedience to God’s commandments. We are all sinners who have fallen short of the glory of God. Pray that the eyes of our students would finally see their extreme wickedness before our Holy and Righteous God. They need to understand the great NEED for salvation.
I love your students. Our entire staff loves them and have already worked so hard to not only keep up with their energy but to also build a relationship with them and help them understand God’s Word. Everyone is safe, healthy, and we are having so much fun! Please continue to pray!
In Him,
