[RISE Update] Student Ministries CANCELLED Tomorrow
NO Jr High meeting during 1st service tomorrow due to poor air quality.
Dear Parents,
Due to poor air quality from the local fire, all outdoor meetings including student and children’s ministries is cancelled for tomorrow. See our church-wide email below.
Excited to see you all in main service!
In Him,
Terrell
Church Family,
Late this afternoon a number of you alerted us to the fact that MVHS had been designated an evacuation center for the uncontained wildfire west of Murrieta. Thankfully, no major harm has yet been caused by the fire, though some families are currently sheltering in the Performing Arts Center.
As a result of the poor air quality and the abundant ash now in the air and falling to the ground, we are going to cancel our children's and student ministries for tomorrow morning.
We will still have two services, at 8:30am and 10:30am, in the gymnasium at Murrieta Valley High School. For those unable to attend, we will be live-streaming the service at 8:30am.
It is a crazy time and we would not have guessed a wildfire would be what mixes things up, but we are thankful for all who are rolling with the changes to make church happen this Sunday!
Tomorrow will be a very special and very important worship service, where we see God's Word help us understand how to deal with the vaccine, the government and the uncertainty of the future. The sermon will be followed by an elder question-and-answer panel. Don't miss it!
And if you're a parent with a very young one who's planning to attend, we would advise sitting high near the walkway or low near the exit door, in case your child needs to exit the gym during the worship service.
Excited to worship with you all tomorrow,
The FBC Pastoral Staff
