[RISE Weekly] BEACH DAY TOMORROW! 🏖
Here’s all the INFO you need to know for the beach tomorrow and for the next few weeks of RISE!
Dear Parents,
It has been a really fun summer in Jr High Ministry! Your students are the best and it has been so encouraging watching them grow in their faith and love of Jesus Christ. This has got to be a pastor’s dream – students praying, reading, and studying their bibles EVERY DAY... Staff who love their students deeply and work so hard to disciple and lead your students to Christ... And parents who are so supportive, involved, and understanding of our great need to present every student complete in Christ. We cannot be more thankful.
BEACH DAY TOMORROW
Tomorrow (7/28) marks our last RISE Summer Night as we head down to Oceanside for a Beach Day! This will be a really simple and fun night intended to give our students another opportunity to build relationships with their friends and discipleship group leaders. And also intended to give you parents the opportunity to connect with our staff!
The whole family is invited! There will be no dinner provided, so eat before you come or bring your own food and drinks. We’re hoping that all students will be riding up with their families or carpooling with friends. If your student does not have a ride, please contact their discipleship group leader or me (terrell@faith-bible.net) and we will find them a ride! Below are instructions to our meeting location, if you were at our beach baptisms last Sunday, we are meeting in the same exact spot!
We are meeting in Oceanside by life guard tower 6
Grab DINNER on your own, and be at the beach by 6:00 PM
PARKING: There are metered spots on the streets nearby, as well as public $2 all-day PAY lots within a few blocks (bring bills or quarters). If those are FULL and you’re willing to walk a few extra blocks, we suggest the free street parking in the neighborhoods just ABOVE (east of) Coast Hwy.
Bring a swimsuit (Girls: one piece with board shorts or tankini with board shorts), boogie boards, and whatever else you need to have fun at the beach! We will just be hanging out together the whole night. Unfortunately there won’t be a teaching time anymore since it will just be practically difficult and distracting – I can be loud but maybe not louder than the waves! Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions!

Last Week
Swimming at the Castellon’s House never gets old! There was an ongoing King of the Hill (or rather, pool step) game going on almost the entire time and the slide was in use continuously. Others were outside enjoying ice cream from the FBC Ice Cream Truck while still others were just hanging out talking. Later, Jesse taught us all about what Yahweh has to say about submission to authority. We closed the night with the parents and staff chatting and eating the delicious ice cream. We love these RISE Summer Nights!
