[RISE Weekly] Building the Foundation 🔨
Youth TONIGHT at the Behnan's from 6:30-8:30 PM. New Sunday Series!
Dear Parents,
I’m currently on a flight heading to India for some “tourism.” 😊 I am pumped about the trip but bummed that I’ll be missing out on an exciting week at RISE! I love being with your students and with our awesome staff and i’m thankful that our ministry doesn’t skip a beat thanks to them.
YOUTH TONIGHT @ THE BEHNAN’S! 🤜🤛
Join us TONIGHT (8/16), from 6:30–8:30 PM at the Behnan Home (36750 Robin Scott St, Murrieta, CA 92562) as we continue in our series called: Jr High Survival Guide! ⚔️
TONIGHT, the incredible manly man, Jesse Martinez, will open the Word with our students and talk about FRIENDS! He’ll answer the questions:
Why have friends?
What makes a good friend?
Where can you find good friends?
NEW SUNDAY TEACHING – TABLE TALK 🔨
Starting this Sunday (8/20) during 1st service, we will start a NEW Series with a NEW way of teaching! With the desire to help our students develop a biblical foundation, we will begin to walk through a series of important questions & answers that will help them understand the most foundational truths.
Each week, students will sit in their small groups for “Table Talk” where they will be led by one of our staff guy’s to think, discuss, and examine their Bibles in order to find the answer to an important doctrinal question. Questions will relate to the topics of God, creation, the fall, the law, Christ, redemption, grace, the Spirit, restoration, and growing in grace.
Each Sunday, we will pose a new question and provide a key passage for that question along with a brief answer that students can memorize.
For example, here’s the question, answer, and passage for this Sunday:
Question: What is our only hope in life and death?
Answer: That we are not our own but belong, body and soul, both in life and death, to God and to our Savior Jesus Christ.
Key Passage: Romans 14:7–8
We will encourage students to MEMORIZE the answer to each week’s question. And, we would love for you to memorize the answers with your students as well and further discuss the topic with your family throughout the week!
The goal is to build these foundational truths into the hearts of our students so that when the world attempts to sway them to and fro, our students will know in their hearts what the Bible says is true.
Our staff is excited to lead your students to Christ TONIGHT and this Sunday! 🙌
In Him,
Terrell
