[RISE Weekly] Got Faith? Daniel, Camp, & BABY! 👶
Youth tomorrow @ the Behnan's, 6:15-8:15pm! Sign-up for Man & Woman Camp! Welcome baby Rosie Gloria Martinez!
Dear Parents,
A main reason why the book of Daniel has been so helpful for us as a ministry, and for me personally, is because it teaches and shows us what it means to have faith. This is something I know students have a hard time grasping, but even those of us who do understand its definition will still struggle as we seek to grow and develop our faith.
How’s your faith? Do you have faith? When your family encounters various trials, when it seems like you are thrown into the furnace, when your faith is put to the test, will it prove to be, as we’ve seen in Daniel, uncompromising, unforgettable, and undying faith? I pray for you parents as much as, sometimes even more than, I pray for your students because as you go so goes your home. You are your student’s main discipler, their biggest earthly example, and so I pray that your faith would continue to grow and be one worth emulating. Cling to Christ and may your homes be led by the sure and steady Anchor!
THIS WEDNESDAY 🔥
Join us TOMORROW from 6:15-8:15 pm at the Behnan Home (36750 Robin Scott St, Murrieta, CA 92562) as we look at the incredible Undeserving Faith of Nebuchadnezzar! After witnessing God save Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, king Neb begins to acknowledge the power and care of God. Daniel 4 shows how God can crack through a hard and prideful heart like king Nebuchadnezzar and give him faith that led him to proclaim this confession:
“Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just, and He is able to humble those who walk in pride.” (Daniel 4:37)
Those with genuine faith are humbled by God and realize their great need for a Savior. True faith leads sinners to recognize who they truly are and who God is truly. We are totally underserving of the grace the Lord gives us, so all we can do is respond in praise and thanksgiving! I’m sure your family will be blessed by reading through Daniel 4 before tomorrow and by discussing the sermon afterwards!

Last Week
The semester is in full swing as we continue to have fun and fruitful Wednesday Nights. We played an old Jr. High classic game of human Tic-Tac-Toe. Then we took our seats and lifted up songs of praise to Yahweh. Terrell clearly laid out what it means to have undying faith as he went through Daniel 3 with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego being thrown in the furnace for not bowing down to king Nebuchadnezzar. Small group discussions revolved around what it means to have faith in Yahweh that will last through anything that may come up in our lives right now.
