Dear Parents,
Some questions have come up from parents about our stance behind prioritizing attendance to the main worship service on Sunday mornings for Jr High students. So, I’d like to provide some clarity to you as we seek to lead our students towards growing in their love for the local church. We are given this directive in Hebrews 10:24-25:
“and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:24–25, NASB95)
We believe the assembly that should not be forsaken is the gathering of believers for worship and fellowship which takes place on Sunday mornings during our main worship services. To be practical in our context then, we should encourage our students to prioritize the main worship service on Sundays rather than solely attending our Jr High meeting. If students are able to attend 2 services on Sunday, then we would love for them to attend Jr High during 1st hour and Main Service during 2nd hour. We want students to be committed first and foremost to the local church! Jr high is an extra gathering (which is helpful and fun) in which your student grows out of in 3 years, but the local church is what we pray your student will love and serve for the rest of their lives!
THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT
I am excited to be back with our students THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT (3/15) from 6:15 – 8:15 PM at the FBC Warehouse! This week, we will close our BEYOND DOUBT series with the question: Do you reject the world? We find this test of eternal life in 1 John 2:15-17:
“Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.” (1 John 2:15–17, NASB95)
I’m excited for the games, fellowship, praises, and study of God’s Word together!

Last Week
As always, it was a great night at Youth. The kids loved the game we played with nerf guns and we had a blast seeing Terrell in a suit and tie singing with the Men’s Choir for Shepherds’ Conference. Alex brought the Word and painted such a wonderful picture of who Christ is and what He has done for us. Small groups provided the perfect opportunity to dive into that topic further. The night was well rounded with chocolate chip cookies at the end.
