[RISE Weekly] Jesus Christ is God.
TOMORROW we are back at THE TRACY’S as we begin our study through The Gospel of John. Join us 6:15 – 8:15 PM
Dear Parents,
My heart is burdened as we hear of the events taking place in Afghanistan. Specifically, I have been praying for the churches and pockets of believers in that country who are anticipating and already experiencing extreme persecution. I recently read one heartbreaking quote from a church leader in Kabul: “The Taliban is sending letters to churches saying, ‘We know who you are and we’re coming for you.’” The truth is, this kind of persecution is nothing new, and it is currently happening in many other countries around the world. True believers have been, and will continue to be, persecuted for their faith in the truth we will learn tomorrow night: Jesus Christ is God – the one true God – and eternal life can only be found through Him. Please pray with me for the people in Afghanistan and for our students here – that they would believe and stand firm in Christ.
THIS WEDNESDAY
We are BACK at The Tracy Home TOMORROW (8/18) from 6:15 – 8:15 PM. The address and general information for Wednesday Nights will always be located at the bottom of our emails.
We will begin our study in The Gospel of John tomorrow night as we dive into John 1:1-18. I love this book. It is my favorite out of the four gospel books as it is so unique from the others. Two-thirds of the gospel of John is devoted to the last week of Jesus’ life and ministry. John tells us the purpose of this book in John 20:31, “but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.”
It was a joy to be with those of you who came to our first-ever Family Night last Wednesday. We hope you were encouraged by the Word of God and informed on the purpose and plans of our ministry. Our amazing staff also met this past Sunday after church, and we spent the majority of our time praying for each of your students by name. Our greatest desire will always be to help your students know and love Jesus Christ.
See you tomorrow!
In Him,
Terrell
Last Week
Family Night last week was such an awesome way to kick off the semester. Thank you to everyone who came! After enjoying a yummy dinner, we played human tick-tak-toe with parents against students. We then sang our hearts out in worship to our Savior and were encouraged by Shawn on how to biblically honor Yahweh with our families. We are looking forward to another great semester!
