[RISE Weekly] Jr High Crushes 😳
Join us tomorrow night at the Behnan's, 6:30–8:30 PM, as Shawn Farrell gives our students guidance on how to deal with their CRUSHES!
Dear Parents,
We are always so thankful when you reach out to our staff and let us know how your students are doing. We only see your students a couple of times a week – so getting some more inside knowledge about how things are going on at home helps us to be more specific with our conversations with them! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to myself or your students discipleship group leader (email me for their contact info if you don’t have it) with any questions or to ask for help!!
Jr High CRUSHES Tomorrow! 😳
Join us Tomorrow Night (2/1) at the Behnan Home (36750 Robin Scott St, Murrieta, CA 92562) from 6:30–8:30 PM!
SHAWN FARRELL (FBC Elder) is joining us tomorrow night to talk about JR HIGH CRUSHES! Don’t be fooled – Jr highers are definitely crushing… So, we don’t want them to work through those new feelings without biblical wisdom. Our goal with tomorrow is to leave the students walking away knowing exactly what to do if/when they have a crush.
Here are some REAL questions submitted in our Q&A box by students:
How do I stop caring about how I look around my crush?
What do I do if someone likes me and I like them back?
What do you do if you like someone but they don’t know?
Why are crushes a thing?
What do I do when I have a crush on a 14-year-old boy? And who is an unbeliever?
How do I tell my crush how I feel?
What do you do when you like someone you have known for a really long time and they just moved away?!
I’m excited! Shawn is the best, and I’m praying this discussion will be super helpful for our students.
WANT TO SERVE OUR STAFF? 🥘
On the first Sunday of every month, our staff meets together to become equipped on how to better disciple your students. We also pray for your students and spend time working through logistics for upcoming events.
One of the ways you can serve our staff is by providing LUNCH for our meeting! We would need enough food for 22 people. We will provide plates, napkins, utensils, and water. Meals can be homemade or bought from a restaurant!
Would you consider signing up to provide lunch for one of our meetings?
See you tomorrow night at the Behnan’s! Dress warm (we’ll have multiple outdoor heaters too)!
In Him,
Terrell

Last Week
It was chilly last Wednesday but not chilly enough! We loved being with everyone and playing a fun game of musical chairs! Then we worshipped in song and heard Terrell spur the students on to obey their parents from a heart that desires to glorify God in this act of obedience. As always, small groups gave a great platform for discussion about what this looks like in the individual students’ lives.
