[RISE Weekly] OBEY YOUR MASTER!
"Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men"
Dear Parents,
Winter Formal was a huge success!
Last Wednesday night we had our Winter Formal night, and it was incredible! We dressed fancy, we wore weird shoes, we ate, we danced, we laughed, and we had a great time. And it was all made possible by YOUR service! As a result of the volunteering and service of you, the parents parents, the students, your kids, had a fantastic, fancy, fun, and food-filled night. Every students was able to eat more than enough food, the staff was able to fellowship with the students, and our ministry and hearts were blessed by your service. Thank you, parents! Your involvement was one of the biggest highlights of the night for me. Not just your service, but also your presence! So many parents hung around, took pictures, and were involved in the night! It was a joy to see those of you who were involved! The tent is INCREDIBLE and we are so happy to have our own property! But a big downside is that the students are always on the other side of the tent from drop-off, so staff interaction with parents has declined. Let me say that you guys are always welcome to park the car and come in with them! We want you guys around, we want to get to know you, and discuss about your student! Our hearts as a ministry is to come alongside you as helpers and supplemental disciplers to your children. Part of why Winter Formal was so incredible in my eyes is because I got to see and talk with so many of you. Thank you again for your help, service, and presence!
Youth is back on tonight!
TONIGHT, and EVERY Wednesday night we will meet at FAITH BIBLE CHURCH (23580 Glazebrook Rd, Wildomar, 92595)! Join us from 6:30–8:30 PM in the Youth Room! There will be games, gaga ball, praise, a sermon, and time in small groups!
Tonight is our FIRSt night in our NEW sermon series called “Worldly VS Godly”! Every believer knows that the world and God do not agree on many things. The kingdom of heaven is what is often referred to as “an upside down kingdom,” where the last shall be first and the first shall be last. Where the God of the universe becomes man, not to be worshipped or praised, but to serve and give his life as a ransom for many. For the next month we will be discussing different ways where God’s way is better than the world’s. Tonight we will be discussing obedience! Colossians 3 declares that we do not serve and please man, but we do all of our work for the Lord! It is Christ whom we serve and Christ whom we seek to please! It will be an incredible night and hugely applicable to students working through obeying their parents, teachers, leaders, and any other authority!
