[RISE Weekly] One Holy Heart 🤍
Join us TONIGHT at the Behnan's from 6:30-8:30 PM. D-Group Hangouts next week. Mystery Night coming soon.
Dear Parents,
Isn’t the Lord so incredibly kind and gracious towards us? Praise God for who He is, what He has done for us, and for what He continues to do so that He may be glorified! I can’t help but be filled with thankfulness for salvation, His Word given to us, and this incredible church that He has built and is continuing to grow. It is a great privilege to serve alongside you parents in leading jr highers to Christ! I am excited to see how the Lord will continue to work through our ministry.
YOUTH TONIGHT @ THE BEHNAN’S! 🤍
We’re BACK TONIGHT (3/20) at the Behnan Home (36750 Robin Scott St, Murrieta) from 6:30–8:30 PM!
Tonight, we will FINISH our series called: One Holy Life! The goal has been to point our students to our one holy God who can completely transform our lives as we live in this dark and corrupt world. Tonight, we will finish by opening up to Matthew 5:8 and see our great need for One Holy Heart.
Matthew 5:8 – “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
God requires a perfect, pure, spotless, holy heart for man to truly know and enjoy God forever. This has been the reminder every week – we need to be PERFECTLY HOLY as our heavenly Father is perfect (Matthew 5:48). The problem is, as we will see again tonight, we are not perfect, and we cannot attain this perfection on our own! Proverbs 20:9 asks, “Who can say, ‘I have cleansed my heart, I am pure from my sin’?” The answer is: NOBODY! So, we need God to cleanse our hearts. He does this through the work of His Son on the cross and His glorious resurrection. It is only with pure hearts that we can see God. I pray the hearts of your students will be inclined to put all their hope and trust in Christ tonight and, therefore, receive holy hearts.
Registration is NOW OPEN for Mystery Night 2024! Compete in the largest car rally scavenger hunt in the world for Jr High and High School students (6-12 Grade)! Dinner included. Register your student using the button below and they will be given team-sheets tonight so that they can form their teams!
Also, can you serve us by being a Mystery Night DRIVER?! You can be part of this huge outreach event by driving students in your car all around Murrieta to each station. This is perhaps the FUNNEST way to serve our ministry! Sign-up below.
FBC MERCH RESTOCK THIS SUNDAY = PROVIDES CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS! 👕🙌
We sold out of shirts last Sunday but are now RESTOCKED for this Sunday (3/24)! All proceeds from this shirt will go directly towards Summer Camp scholarships! This is a great way to help students get to camp where they will hear the glorious gospel. Please support our ministry by buying a shirt this Sunday and encouraging others to buy shirts!
See you TONIGHT!
In Him,
Terrell
P.S. Discipleship Group Hangouts are NEXT WEDNESDAY (3/27). This is where each grade/gender group spreads out and meets in different locations to spend some time together. Specific details for each group will be sent out in next week’s email!
Last Week
We love meeting the students each week! The kids played shuffle their buns which was funny to watch and then we had the Backlund duo (AJ and Mandy) lead us in worship. Terrell then came up and from Ephesians 4:17-24 he taught on the mind and outlined for us the mind of an unbeliever and the mind of a believer. The mind of an unbeliever is rotten, dark, and useless, while the mind of a believer is renewed, corrected, and Christ-like.
