Dear Parents,
Part two of our Summertime Psalm hangouts is tonight! Last week we had an INTENSE bellyflop competition! The ultimate champion was Nolan Carson! We also got to hear Noah Loomis preach through Psalm 73! From Godโs word he reminded us that when we look horizontally at the people around us, we can often grow envious and doubtful. But when we look vertically unto the Lord, we see His goodness and faithfulness. Psalm 73:25 says โWhom have I in heaven but You? And besides You, I desire nothing on earth.โ Such a great encouragement it was!
Tonight we will be having a doubles pickleball tournament running from 6:30-8! We will be putting students into teams ourselves so that they will be as even as possible so everyone will have an equal chance to win! I will be preaching through Psalm 51. David begins the Psalm with sadness and sorrow over his sins and wrongdoing, but then shifts to setting his joy and hope in the salvation and restoration of God through His forgiveness. It is such a good reminder that although we are sinners and that we should take our sin seriously, His mercy is more and His grace is greater. Through the blood of Christ all sinners can be washed white as snow in the eyes of the Father! So excited for tonight! Hope to see all of your students there!
Location: 23801 Jonathan Place
Time: 6:30-8:30!
What to bring: Students should bring a swimsuit (view modesty letter), a towel, their Bible, and something to take notes with!
Students are more than welcome to bring their own paddles for the tournament!
And if you happen to have an extra pickleball that you could send with your student, that would be awesome!
