[RISE Weekly] Praise God for Summer Camp! 🙌
The Lord worked in AMAZING ways at Summer Camp. Can’t wait to share with you at our Burger Bash and Camp Rewind!
Dear Parents,
Hopefully by now your student has shared with you all the fun they had at Summer Camp! It truly was so much fun. But most importantly, I hope that your student has shared with you how the Lord worked in their heart at camp. I’ve heard of amazing stories already of how God has softened hearts, revealed sin, and caused some to fully surrender their lives to Him. Praise God for His faithfulness and that it is Him alone who saves. Yahweh not only offers salvation, but is, in His very nature, Salvation.
I want you to know how much our staff loves your students. I watched in overwhelming thankfulness as each night our staff went to bed completely exhausted because of how much they labored and poured their hearts into your students. We want nothing more than to see your student know and love Jesus Christ. I couldn’t be more thankful for our staff and MAD Crew whom God used to orchestrate a weekend full of discipleship without distractions. They truly labored to the point of exhaustion in order to lead every student to Christ (Col 1:28-29).
We are also thankful for the faithful preaching from Josh Petras despite having his 3rd child the morning of camp. He knows Jr. High students so well, and I took so many notes from him on how to communicate and keep JH students engaged. Josh walked us through 5 sessions in the book of Exodus as we learned about Yahweh: the Warrior, the Savior, the Faithful, the Matchless. Listen to all 5 sermons here (I’ve left Session 4 unedited so you can listen to our extended worship time):
There were hundreds of pictures and videos taken at camp by our staff! More will be edited and shown at Camp Rewind (details below) but for now, you can browse through these available pictures and videos:
NO YOUTH THIS WEDNESDAY OR SUNDAY 1ST SERVICE
We are giving our staff a well-deserved break after camp! So, there will be no youth this Wednesday, 6/23, and no 1st service JH meeting this Sunday, 6/27. But we will see you at Camp Rewind and kick off our Summer Semester on Wednesday, 6/30 (more details to come soon)!
BURGER BASH + CAMP REWIND
JR. HIGH parents and families! Join us for a Burger Bash BEFORE Camp Rewind THIS SUNDAY (6/27) from 4:30 - 5:30 PM at Murrieta Valley High School! We want to give you Jr. High parents an opportunity to meet our staff and talk about how Summer Camp went for your student specifically. Dinner and the FBC Ice Cream Truck will be provided for the family, free of charge. Afterward, we’ll gather together for Camp Rewind to hear how God worked in both the HS and JH Summer Camps!
Thank you so much for praying while we were at camp. We should continue to pray now that there would be much fruit shown in the lives of our students. I feel so honored to witness all the Lord is doing in our ministry.Â
In Him,Â
Terrell
Last Week
Camp was PHENOMENAL!!! There were so many wonderful things that happened that it would take too much space to write it all here. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, we have included the link to a dropbox where you can see all of the pictures and videos that were taken during camp. Enjoy!
