[RISE Weekly] Proverbs Summer Challenge!☀️
Make sure your student stays connected this summer with our Proverbs Summer Challenge! Also, check out our Summer Calendar!
Dear Parents,
It was so good to spend time with you and your students this past Sunday at our Burger Bash and Camp Rewind! It was especially encouraging to hear testimonies from our students on how the Lord worked in their hearts at camp and even before camp! I wish we could spend the whole night just hearing from our students – I know that there are many more incredible stories of God’s salvific and sanctifying work. Praise God that He is the One who saves and sanctifies. Pray that many more students would be led closer to Christ this summer.
PROVERBS SUMMER CHALLENGE
In an effort to keep your students connected and in God’s Word this summer, whether they are home or away for vacation, we are launching the PROVERBS SUMMER CHALLENGE starting July 1. Every day in the month of July, your student will pray, read one chapter from Proverbs, watch a video devotional from me on that Proverb, then answer/submit questions about what they learned and how to apply that Proverb to their own heart. Video devotionals will be posted every morning on our website, Instagram, Apple Podcast, and Spotify Podcast. If your student completes 22/31 of the days, they will receive a FREE RISE T-SHIRT! If they complete 31/31 of the days, they will win a special grand prize!
Our heart behind this challenge is to get your student in the habit of reading and studying God’s Word every day. Proverbs 1:7 says “The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge; Ignorant fools despise wisdom and discipline.” Our prayer is that your student would fear Yahweh. But in order to fear Him they must know Him. And the only way to know Him is by reading His very Word. This is more important now than ever because the world is making every effort, every day, to capture and corrupt the hearts of our students. Fear and knowledge of Yahweh is our only hope in this declining society.
RISE SUMMER CALENDAR
Our Summer Semester starts TOMORROW (6/30) at The Castellon’s! For all of our “RISE Summer Nights,” students can wear their swimsuits (Girls: one piece with board shorts or tankini with board shorts), bring a towel, and bring a Bible as there will be a pool, basketball court, trampoline, and other games available to them! We’ll spend most of the night just hanging out and having fun! Then, at the end of the night, we will dive into God’s Word together. This Wednesday, I will introduce the book of Proverbs as we get ready for our Proverbs Summer Challenge. Check out our Summer Calendar below for more info (address and time) and a look at what’s to come this summer!
I hope that your student will stay connected with us this summer! Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions!
In Him,
Terrell
