[RISE Weekly] Real Friends! 🤜🤛
Join us tomorrow @ the Behnan's from 6:30–8:30 PM as we talk about FRIENDSHIPS!
Dear Parents,
What a fun start to the semester it has been talking about RELATIONSHIPS! It’s been awesome to sit in small groups and see how talkative everyone is because these topics are so applicable to them. We are praying it has been helpful and I’m excited to continue with the series tomorrow night. Audio from last week and this week will be uploaded to our website soon!
Real Friends! 🤜🤛
Join us Tomorrow Night (2/8) at the Behnan Home (36750 Robin Scott St, Murrieta, CA 92562) from 6:30–8:30 PM!
I’m excited to spend one last night together in our series on RELATIONSHIPS by talking about our FRIENDSHIPS! What does it take to be a REAL friend? How can we glorify and imitate Christ through our friendships? I’ll be walking us through selected passages to discover some examples of friendships in the Bible that we can learn from!
Here are some REAL questions submitted in our Q&A box by students:
How do I grieve the loss of my fellow jr highers when I go to high school? – 8th grade girl
What do you do if your friend is always pointing out your flaws/insecurities all the time and changes attitudes around different people?
I have a friend that lives in Illinois (I can still contact them) and they don’t care if there is a God or not, they only care where they go when they die.
I’m excited and praying this will be a helpful and practical study for us!
See you tomorrow night at the Behnan’s! Dress warm (we’ll have multiple outdoor heaters too)!
In Him,
Terrell

Last Week
Youth last Wednesday was exciting! You could tell the kids were extra hyped up because of the topic: crushes! After a boys vs. girls game and singing songs in worship to our King, we got to hear THE Shawn Farrell share what the Bible has to say about liking the opposite gender. Even though during small groups you could tell each group was giggling and more talkative, we had great discussions about how to practically apply Shawn’s message. Feel free to ask your student’s small group leader how it went!
