[RISE Weekly] Sovereignty & Responsibility❓
Youth tomorrow at the Behnan’s from 6:30–8:30 PM! Pray for our guy staff at Shepherd’s Conference this week. Plus, an important Summer Camp update!
Dear Parents,
It’s an encouraging and fun week as our Pastoral Staff and Training Center Year 1 guys are in LA for the Shepherd’s Conference hosted by John MacArthur & Grace Community Church. 6 of our Jr High Staff guys will be here with me. Please pray for our time – that it would be fruitful, encouraging, and that we would leave here better equipped to shepherd our students! It’s a time like this that I’m thankful for our super awesome, and large, staff. Even with 6 guys away, our ministry will not skip a beat!
YOUTH TOMORROW @ BEHNANS! 🔥
Join us TOMORROW NIGHT (3/8), from 6:30–8:30 PM at the Behnan Home (36750 Robin Scott St, Murrieta, CA 92562) as we continue in our series: “Big Questions!” Last week, we walked through the Bible to answer the question: why is there evil and suffering in the world if we have a good and sovereign God? I was encouraged by the great discussion in small groups afterwards and I am praying it was helpful.
One thing is for certain – this series has and will continue to force us all to consider the character of God. Big/tough questions like these point us to the greater question: who is God? It is the greatest privilege to know Him and I am praying this series will guide us to consider Him in ways we perhaps never have before.
This Wednesday, our amazing senior staff, Jesse Martinez, will walk our students through Scripture in order to answer: If God is sovereign, is man still responsible? This is such an important follow up question from last week since we spent so much time talking about the sovereignty of God. Please pray for Jesse as he prepares and for the hearts of our students as they listen tomorrow!

SUMMER CAMP 2023 UPDATE ☀️🌊
AN IMPORTANT UPDATE… Our Jr High Summer Camp dates have shifted a couple of days earlier: June 12–16, 2023. This has been done for a few really positive reasons: (1) It made available a really awesome campsite for us to use – Pine Valley Bible Conference Center. (2) It allowed for a cheaper student camp cost. (3) It allows our students to be back for… FATHER’S DAY! Yes, the Lord has heard your cries and requests to be with your students once again for Father’s Day. 😊
This year’s JH Summer Camp is going to be awesome! Early Bird registration will open up at Mystery Night! Can’t wait!
See you tomorrow night at the Behnan’s! Remember to dress warm! 🧤
In Him,
Terrell

Last Week
We were so thankful for youth in a warm coffee shop last week! The beverages were delicious as always, and the fellowship was fun and memorable. We played a fun game where one student wearing headphones playing loud music tried to lip read what another student was saying. Some were right on but others thought they heard something completely different and it was hilarious! We transitioned to a time of worship and then Terrell introduced a new series on Big Questions with the first one being on God’s sovereignty. It was so clear and helpful for our students and we were able to discuss it further in small groups.
