Dear Parents,
We had a BLAST at our John Summer Challenge Party last Friday! I’m so thankful as I reflect on the summer we had. SO many students were devoted to the Word of God and prayer. Studying John was such a sweet joy for me – especially doing it with your students! I hope that your students are continuing to be devoted to the Word and prayer even still. I would encourage all of our families to help your students decide what book or plan to read through and keep them accountable each day. No matter how busy life gets, there is ALWAYS time to read, study, and pray.
YOUTH TOMORROW @ THE BEHNAN’S! 🗣️
Join us TOMORROW NIGHT (9/20), from 6:30–8:30 PM at the Behnan Home (36750 Robin Scott St, Murrieta, CA 92562) as we continue in our new sermon series focused on the TONGUE! 👅
This Wednesday, we will examine the Poison of the Tongue – the sins of gossip and lying. There may not be a more common struggle shared amongst Jr Higher’s than lying and gossiping. Both sins are extremely poisonous, vile, and destructive.
Ephesians 4:29 – “Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.”
I pray that students would see the seriousness of their sin this Wednesday and turn to Christ instead for forgiveness and transformation of the heart and tongue! I pray that we would be a ministry known for our uplifting and encouraging speech!
RISE x GRAFTED THIS SUNDAY 🤜🤛
This Sunday (9/24) during 1st service, our college ministry (Grafted) will be taking over Jr High as our staff will be away on a much needed retreat to be refreshed and discuss plans for the rest of the year.
I served in the College Ministry for a couple of years before coming to Jr High – collegians are basically the same as Jr Highers. They just have facial hair. So, I’m sure this Sunday will be filled with fun and great teaching!

Last Week
What a great night we had last Wednesday! We played Twist-Tac-Toe last week and the kids are still doing a fantastic job coming to youth nights dressed in their team colors. After announcements and worship, Terrell introduced his new sermon series by calling some students up to play “Finish The Lyrics.” He then dived in to James 3:1-12 to challenge the students to evaluate how they use their words.

Sunday Morning Details
We meet every Sunday morning during the first service from 8:00 - 9:15 AM.

In order to get to where we meet on Sundays, walk towards the upper quad of campus past Children’s Ministry. You will see our large group gathered at the far end! Or, you can always ask one of our friendly ushers or greeters where Jr. High Ministry meets and they will show you.
