YOUTH TONIGHT @ THE BEHNANβS! π₯
Join us TONIGHT (10/25), from 6:30β8:30 PM at the Behnan Home (36750 Robin Scott St, Murrieta, CA 92562) as we continue our NEW SERMON SERIES titled: DEATH TO LIFE! This is a series focused on the process of conversion: regeneration, faith, repentance, which leads to a new fruitful life in Christ!
TONIGHT, we will learn what true REPENTANCE looks like. Repentance & faith are inseparable and the very next steps after God regenerates (they happen simultaneously but logically repentance & faith come after God first regenerates).
One of the main goals with this series is to help our students understand these important theological terms that often just get thrown around with no proper explanation! What does it ACTUALLY mean to repent? Tonight we will see that true repentance involves a humble acknowledgement of sin, a mourning and sorrow over sin, a turning away from sin and towards Christ, and a purpose to live in obedience.
TABLE TALK THIS SUNDAY! π
With this new teaching method, we are trying to teach students how to study their Bibles and give them confidence that they can find answers on their own through Scripture! Here is what weβre covering this Sunday:
Question: How can we be saved?
Answer: Only by faith in Jesus Christ and in his substitutionary atoning death on the cross; so even though we are guilty of having disobeyed God and are still inclined to all evil, nevertheless, God, without any merit of our own but only by pure grace, imputes to us the perfect righteousness of Christ when we repent and believe in him.
Main Passage: Ephesians 2:8-9
See you TONIGHT!
In Him,
Terrell
Last Week
Another successful night in the books! There was the tortilla slap challenge that caused much laughter and then the teams had to pick one representative to hold up a chair with their arms straight out. The kids did a great job! Then Terrell started his new series and explained what the term regeneration means. It is when God gives eternal life to a spiritually dead sinner. Ask your student if they remember what it means!
